Non-Surgical Eye lift
SmoothEye® Non-Surgical Eye Lift
Tighten Crepey Lids and Soften Lines Around the Eyes
NON-ABLATIVE LASER TIGHTENING FOR THE MOST EXPRESSIVE — AND MOST REVEALING — AREA OF YOUR FACE.
The eyes are arguably the most important aesthetic unit of the entire face. They’re also the first place skin loses its tone, and the hardest place to treat safely. SmoothEye® at Alpha Medical Aesthetics is a non-surgical eye lift that uses a gentle, non-ablative Er:YAG laser to tighten the periocular region and soften periorbital wrinkles, with no injectables and none of the recovery of a blepharoplasty.
What is SmoothEye?
SmoothEye is a non-ablative treatment using Fotona’s patented SMOOTH® mode to tighten the skin around the eyes. Rather than removing or wounding the surface, it delivers controlled heat beneath intact skin to stimulate the body’s own collagen response.
SmoothEye:
- Improves skin elasticity, overall structure and volume in the periocular region
- Stimulates collagen remodeling and initiates neocollagenesis
- Involves little to no downtime
- Is gentle, fast and non-invasive
- Is safe and precisely controlled
It addresses the concerns patients most often point to in the mirror: crepey, loose upper eyelid skin; fine lines and crow’s feet; and a general softening of the tone of the skin around the eye.
How Does SmoothEye Work?
That controlled thermal stimulus produces two overlapping effects. A fast, superficial heat shock activates the biochemical signaling that switches on collagen gene expression. A slower, deeper heating directly stimulates fibroblasts, the cells that manufacture new collagen. Over the weeks that follow, the tissue rebuilds itself denser and tighter than it was.
The treatment is performed in a precise pattern — typically several rows across the upper lid and lower lid, with multiple pulse trains at each spot and several passes across the area. A topical anesthetic is applied first for comfort.
Because nothing is ablated, there is no open wound, no crusting and no visible healing phase.
Two Treatment Approaches: Extraocular and Intra-Palpebral
Dr. Kaveh tailors each SmoothEye® session to your eyelid anatomy and goals, using one or both of two approaches.
Extraocular (Outer Eyelid Skin)
The laser is applied to the skin of the upper and lower eyelids and the crow’s feet area, stimulating new collagen to firm crepey, wrinkled skin.
Intra-Palpebral (Inner Lower Eyelid)
For patients who need added lower-lid tightening, Dr. Kaveh also treats the inner surface of the lower eyelid. Heating the tissue from the inside supports tightening while leaving the outer skin surface untouched.
Because this approach works close to the eye, it includes extra safety steps:
- Numbing eye drops are applied before treatment.
- A protective shield is placed over the eye for the entire session.
- Contact lenses must be removed beforehand.
Most patients feel only mild warmth. Temporary redness or mild eye irritation may follow and usually resolves quickly.
During your consultation, Dr. Kaveh reviews your eye health to decide whether the intra-palpebral approach is right for you. If it is, you’ll go through a separate consent for this step.
Why Choose SmoothEye at Alpha Medical Aesthetics?
Treating around the eyes demands precision and appropriate protective measures, and it demands a provider who knows exactly where the safe boundaries are. At Alpha Medical Aesthetics, SmoothEye is performed under the direction of Dr. Sassan Kaveh, whose 25+ years in medicine inform every parameter we set.
SmoothEye also fills a real gap. The eyelids are too delicate for most body and face tightening devices, and the conventional alternative — surgical blepharoplasty — means incisions, sutures, bruising and weeks of recovery. SmoothEye offers a meaningful middle path for patients whose laxity is mild to moderate and who simply aren’t ready for surgery.
It also pairs naturally with our other treatments. Many patients combine SmoothEye with the Fotona 4D® facelift or OptiLight dry eye therapy in a coordinated plan.
Every Fotona treatment at our Las Vegas clinic is overseen by Dr. Sassan Kaveh, who completed hands-on manufacturer training on the Fotona® SP Dynamis Max laser system. See his training and credentials →
What to Expect During a SmoothEye Treatment
-
- Consultation: Dr. Kaveh evaluates the degree of eyelid laxity and wrinkling and confirms you’re a candidate for a non-surgical approach.
- Preparation: A topical anesthetic is applied to the treatment area. Appropriate eye protection is used throughout.
- Treatment: Pulse trains are delivered in rows across the upper and lower lids, with multiple passes. You’ll feel warmth and a gentle tapping sensation.
- Duration: Usually 20 to 30 minutes, including numbing time.
A course of three treatments spaced approximately six weeks apart is the standard protocol. You may be slightly pink immediately afterward; this typically settles within a few hours.
