FACIAL REJUVENATION
LipLase® Laser Lip Enhancement
Fuller, Better-Defined Lips — Without a Single Needle
What is LipLase?
- The “wet” lip (intraoral): Treated from inside the mouth, past the wet-dry line. This is the tightening and vermilion eversion step — it rolls the lip outward, making more of it visible.
- The “dry” lip (extraoral): Treated on the outer vermilion. This is the volume step, and the one that raises and sculpts the Cupid’s bow.
- Outlining: A defining pass along the labial border that sharpens the outline of the lip — the detail that makes lips read as “well-shaped” rather than simply “bigger.”
How Does LipLase Work?
Why Choose LipLase at Alpha Medical Aesthetics?
Every Fotona treatment at our Las Vegas clinic is overseen by Dr. Sassan Kaveh, who completed hands-on manufacturer training on the Fotona® SP Dynamis Max laser system. See his training and credentials →
What to Expect During a LipLase Treatment
- Consultation: Dr. Kaveh assesses your lip shape, volume, border definition and perioral lines, and discusses what LipLase can realistically achieve for your anatomy.
- Comfort: Roughly 75% of patients tolerate LipLase with minimal discomfort and no anesthetic at all. For the remaining 25%, a topical anesthetic gel is available for both the intraoral and extraoral surfaces.
- Treatment: The intraoral step is performed first, then the extraoral step, then the outlining pass. You’ll feel warmth and a rapid tapping sensation.
- Duration: Typically 30 to 45 minutes.
The Benefits of LipLase
- Fuller lips with no needles and no filler.
- Nothing injected — no migration, no lumps, no dissolving agent required.
- Vermilion eversion — reveals more of your natural lip rather than inflating it.
- Raises and defines the Cupid’s bow.
- Sharper, cleaner lip border.
- Improves perioral (“smoker’s”) lines — something filler doesn’t address.
- Builds your own collagen, so the result looks like your face.
- Little to no downtime.
- Most patients need no anesthetic.
Is LipLase Right for You?
- Want fuller, better-defined lips but don’t want injections.
- Have thin or flattening lips, or have lost lip volume with age.
- Are bothered by vertical lines above the upper lip.
- Have a poorly defined vermilion border or a flattened Cupid’s bow.
- Have had filler in the past and want to maintain or reduce their dependence on it.
- Want a natural, gradual change rather than an immediate dramatic one.
- Anyone with an active cold sore or herpes simplex outbreak — treatment must be postponed, and patients with a history of cold sores should discuss antiviral prophylaxis at consultation.
- Patients with active oral, dental or gum infection.
- Anyone with an open lesion or inflammatory condition on or around the lips.
- Patients who are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- Anyone taking photosensitizing medications.
- People wanting a dramatic, immediate volume increase — filler remains the better tool for that, and we’ll say so.
